£1.7m of business in 2011 for freelancers and entrepreneurs

Organisers of unique networking and workshop events for freelancers and entrepreneurs delivered 840 business meetings stimulating more than £1.7 million of business in the North West this spring.

Last autumn, three Enterprise Freelance Fairs were delivered across the North West, which generated more than £1.5m worth of business. For 2011, the Brookson Enterprise Freelance Fair has held successful events in Manchester, Liverpool and Daresbury, Cheshire that collectively stimulated more than £1.728m worth of business, based on hourly rates and lengths of contract.

In addition, this series of events included a dual workshop programme focused on freelancer and entrepreneur issues; 97% of attendees said they would recommend the event in their feedback forms.

Founder of the Brookson Enterprise Freelance Fair, Neil Lewis, said:

“Thanks to everyone who attended and supported the Brookson Enterprise Freelance Fair and we look forward to helping you find more freelance jobs and connecting with more successful entrepreneurs and executives in the months to come. Our freelance talent job board has run more than 100 freelance job adverts during the spring season and this has delivered a number of lucrative contracts to our freelance readers. Our Freelance Fairs deliver business outcomes and this is what makes them different to other events. We are focused on delivering high quality leads that convert into real business opportunities for both freelancers and entrepreneurs. And yes, we depend entirely on freelance talent from the region to build and deliver these events.”
