· GCS in top 10 of yearly Best Small Workplaces

· Number three in “most fun and friendly workplace”

Adding to their recent accolades, GCS has once again been recognised as one of the best small companies to work for in the United Kingdom. International research and management consultancy Great Place to Work publishes a yearly top 20 of the best small workplaces in the country and the 2011 list, inserted in the Guardian and the Financial Times, sees GCS edge into the top 10, impressively ranked at number 9 overall with an outstanding third place in the “most fun and friendly workplace” category.

GCS founder Chris Bartlett says “It is extremely gratifying to be acknowledged as a ‘Great Place to Work’ and testament to the fantastic team we have here at GCS. From the management team to the consultants to the back office staff, we all take immense pride in our work, our company and our day to day enjoyment of being part of a forward-thinking, success-oriented organisation. With more than 2.2 million people comprising this publication’s readership, there is clearly great potential for business stemming from such a strong recommendation.”

The Recruitment Specialists’ placement in the Great Place to Work listing follows similar success earlier this year when the company was ranked number 29 in the Sunday Times Top 100 Best Small Companies and, for the second year running, received the Best Companies’ “extraordinary” 3-Star accreditation. Later this year, GCS will be looking to repeat their success at the Thames Valley Business Awards where, in 2010, they won both Thames Valley Business of the Year and Best Company to work for.

“It has been a tremendous year for the company” says Managing Director David Bloxham. “We’ve enjoyed a continual stream of nominations and awards, we have overachieved all of our fiscal targets and morale within the company has never been greater. With the recent launch of the Accountancy brand further extending our market reach, I am absolutely confident that the next year will be our most successful to date.”
