“CVs are outdated”

Founders of staffbay.com, a new recruitment portal enabling candidates to upload an employment profile, have hit out at the outdated nature of CVs. This comes following research that has found employers prioritise job applicants with the right attitude above skills listed on their CVs.

Staffbay.com was launched to help the staggering 82-94% of applicants that get rejected at CV stage. With employers spending, on average, only 10-15 seconds reviewing CVs,  staffbay is set to revolutionize the recruitment process by opening up interaction between candidates and potential employers.

Tony Wilmot, founder of staffbay.com comments “Over the last 10-15 years the employment market has become increasingly more fluid, meaning that its difficult for candidates to summarise previous roles, achievements, skills and hobbies on two sides of A4.

“The success and popularity of sites such as Facebook and Linkedin has seen a rise in the number of people seeing the benefit in having online profiles. Therefore its time that the jobs market embraced how candidates would now like to sell themselves.”

staffbay.com enables candidates to upload a “CMe” instead of a CV, with video, personal profiles and certificates. This empowers people that may not have the strongest CV to shine in other ways for example by demonstrating their passion or enthusiasm.

staffbay also allows greater searchability for employers to connect the right candidate to the right job and enables employers and candidates to interact online throughout the complete recruitment process, from initial introduction through to checking references, job offer and acceptance.
