Yesterday a KPMG survey claimed full time vacancies are being filled at the slowest pace in the last two years. Despite some of the highest levels of UK unemployment, matching the right person to the right job still seems to be tougher than ever.

Meanwhile personal communication has changed; social media, video, and twitter mean trawling through recruitment sites and sending off application after application is ‘so last year’. Many of the best candidates slip through the net.

US job site, Get Me the Right Job (GMTRJ) has gone back to the drawing board, understanding that recruitment is no longer just about sourcing quality candidates, but these day’s all marketing the role to applicants.  By combining video marketing, structured questions and an easy to use cloud interface from HR technology firm, Fairsail, GMTRJ has approached the problem from the candidates perspective not only increasing the number of applicants for a role but also the quality. One in two of GMTRJ’s candidates are hired.
