2B Interface celebrates its sixth birthday
Determination, diversification and diligence keeps 2B Interface on top

2B Interface, the broad-ranging staffing and recruitment agency providing manual, skilled, office and management personnel is today celebrating its sixth birthday across its three offices in Bedford, Canary Wharf and Leamington Spa.

Set up on the 1st of February 2005 Founder and Managing Director Beatrice Bartlay created 2B Interface to specialise in supplying highly skilled labour, fully qualified trades candidates with each placement filled within four working days.

From initially focusing on the shop fitting industry, the company has since diversified into furniture manufacturing, secretarial and most recently motorsport. 2B Interface is able to source highly skilled contract and permanent staff to its growing client base.

Since 2005, 2B Interface has been acknowledged many times for its entrepreneurial spirit and dependability, winning numerous business awards including the Business Start Up category of the Docklands Business Club’s annual awards in 2007. Beatrice Bartlay has also won numerous awards and in 2008 was short-listed for The Wharf newspaper’s Business Person of the Year trophy.

In 2009 the company won the Best Business Innovation Award in recognition for how 2B Interface helped British manufacturers get back onto their feet during the recession. By providing temporary skilled staff, it created positions for supervisors and managers in the manufacturing industry. 2B Interface was able to tap into the management skills of individuals that were unemployed at the time.  The company was also able to re-engage some of its clients’ permanent staff who were made redundant into temporary positions.

Beatrice Bartlay commented, “We are so pleased to be celebrating our sixth birthday today. It’s been challenging but rewarding to get where we are today and we are looking forward to developing our business further. We grew the company by 200% in the last financial year and made the entire annual sales target in the first quarter of last year so we are optimistic about the future.”

As well as running a successful company, Beatrice also supports charities, having set up a foundation in May 2007 to collect funds for charities that support Multiple Sclerosis.  The first Docklands Fash and Fun Show was in October 2007 which brought local businesses together, raised awareness and funds for this condition.  Since 2007, The Docklands Fash and Fun Show has become an annual event.
