A4e ensures inclusion is firmly on the recruitment agenda

Global public service provider A4e is showing its commitment to stamping out bias in recruitment by signing up to become ‘ClearAssured’.

Operating in nine countries around the globe, with 250 branches across the UK, A4e’s mission to improve people’s lives will be reinforced by working with inclusion specialists at The Clear Company to ensure organisation’s recruitment practice is fully inclusive at every level.

Caroline Roberts, Group HR Director at A4e said: “From our conception in Sheffield 20 years ago, we’ve remained committed to ‘improving people’s lives’ by bringing about positive social change.

“As one of the leading prime providers of the UK Government’s Work Programme and other public services, embarking on the ClearAssured journey will further support us to ensure we are fully embracing an inclusive approach at every level of the work we do, both when recruiting for our own business and when we are supporting people into work with our employer clients.”

At the forefront of inclusive recruitment, The Clear Company is working with major UK employers from the private and public sectors, government bodies and not-for-profit organisations to embed best practice in recruitment with a particular focus to support the development of opportunities for disabled people.

Kate Headley, development director at The Clear Company, added: “It’s great to see a global organisation like A4e really shining the spotlight on inclusive practice for disabled people in recruitment.

“ClearKit and the ClearAssured programme will provide the organisation with a real view of ‘current state’, a road map of actions to take to support best practice and access to invaluable guidance, expertise and all the information they need on the issue to achieve their goals.”
