ABFA / APSCo Business Forum 11/03/2011

On the 11th March 2011 ABFA and APSCo jointly hosted a forum on The Recruitment Supply Chain to debate the evolution and sustainability of temporary labour supplies via intermediary agencies. 140 people involved in the procurement and supply of temporary labour from around the UK attended. To ensure the debate was balanced, places were apportioned between end users, RPOs/MSPs, recruitment companies and financiers so there were limited places available for each audience segment.

The discussion highlighted a systemic problem which has arisen in the way that many public and private sector entities engage agency workers using intermediaries such as recruitment process outsourcers (“RPO companies”).
