Advantage Professional place ISS’s new Head of European Research

Advantage Professional’s Banking Operations permanent team is delighted to announce the placement of Georgina Marshall as Head of European Research at Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS), an MSCI brand.

ISS, a leading provider of corporate governance solutions to the global financial community, approached Advantage Professional in September 2011 with an initial enquiry to recruit their London-based Head of European Research. The role is an extremely high-profile one with responsibility for ISS research teams across Europe and a role on the Global Policy Board.

Although Advantage Professional was engaged on a contingency basis, it quickly became clear that a role at this senior level required an in-depth search methodology which allowed our consultants to identify, engage with and shortlist six candidates, all matching the brief, within one week.

A week of two rounds of interviews followed, at the end of which Georgina was offered the post. By the end of the third week on the project, she was signed up to her new role, with a start date of January 2012.

Georgina, formerly Regional Head of Corporate Governance at Aviva, had this to say on her latest role:
