Antal International founder wins in Ernst & Young ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ award

Tony Goodwin, founder and chairman of global recruiter, Antal International has won the London and South East round of 2011’s prestigious Ernst & Young ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ competition.

Goodwin, who beat off stiff opposition to take the award for the second time, will now go through to the UK finals due to be held in October.

The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of the Year is the world's most prestigious business award for entrepreneurs. As the first and only truly global award of its kind, Entrepreneur Of The Year celebrates those who are building and leading successful, growing and dynamic businesses, recognising them through regional, national and global awards programmes in more than 140 cities and in more than 50 nations.

“I’m obviously delighted to win this, particularly as I was up against such worthy competitors from the recruitment industry as David Leyshon at CBS Butler and Tristram Ramus at Hamilton Bradshaw,” says Goodwin. “ But I could only have done so because I have such a fantastic team behind me and I’d particularly like to thank Group MD Graeme Read, Group FD Paul Russell and Antal Networks CEO Doug Bugie for enabling me to get this far.
