APSCo trade delegation arrives in Singapore

26 senior recruitment executives

Twenty-six senior recruitment executives will commence a four-day trade delegation in Singapore tomorrow (24/05/11) organised by the Association of Professional Staffing Companies (APSCo).

The purpose of the trade delegation is to assist APSCo members identify opportunities for expansion in one of the world’s fastest growing economies as well as the wider Asia-Pacific region.

The itinerary for the four-day event will include:

Business briefing by the British High Commission in Singapore

Presentations by leading economists, business advisers and lawyers on conducting business in Singapore

A panel discussion featuring leading recruiters who already have a presence in Singapore, including SThree and Morgan McKinley

Tour of the business district

A business networking reception at the Ambassador’s residence

Two days at the HR summit, the largest HR event in Asia, which attracted 3,500 senior HR executives in 10

The four-day delegation has been organised by APSCo in association with UK Trade and Investment, the Government body which assists UK businesses with overseas expansion.

Many of the recruiters who attended our last trade delegation to Abu Dhabi and Qatar won new business and opened offices directly as a result. Our ambition is to provide a springboard to international expansion in the same way via the Singapore trade delegation.”
