BCL Legal Provides 2,500 CPD Points to In-house Lawyers in 2011

BCL Legal - one of the leading legal recruitment consultancies outside London – which has offices in Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Birmingham, Bristol and Reading – has continued to ramp up its support for in-house lawyers throughout 2011 by providing over 2,500 CPD points to its seminar delegates since the start of the year.

BCL Legal - one of the leading legal recruitment consultancies outside London – which has offices in Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Birmingham, Bristol and Reading – has continued to ramp up its support for in-house lawyers throughout 2011 by providing over 2,500 CPD points to its seminar delegates since the start of the year.

During that time, the BCL Legal team has partnered with some of the UK’s leading law firms, including; DLA Piper, Pinsent Masons, Shoosmiths, DWF, Browne Jacobsen, Addleshaw Goddard & Pannone to stage 13 bespoke events covering everything from commercial law and employment law to working with the public sector. As in-house lawyers tend to be generalists they need to be aware of key changes within in the law as a whole so – along with its partners, including the Commerce and Industry Group – BCL Legal devised a calendar of engaging events that inform and educate. It has also regularly surveyed members of the in-house legal legal community so it knows what they want to hear about so content could be tailored accordingly.

The firm plans to continue staging these free events throughout 2012 and the next Legal Update Seminars will happen in April and October next year. They are provisionally due to take place in Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Nottingham, Milton Keynes and Reading and full details will be announced in the New Year on www.bcllegal.com. In addition, BCL Legal has also sponsored the two annual C&I Group dinners in both the North East and the North West as well a dinner event for lawyers who work in the sports sector.
