Bill Yuile Appointed Business Development Director of Apply Altra

Apply Altra announces today [Tuesday 29th November] the appointment of Bill Yuile as Business Development Director. Mr Yuile will join the management team to help develop the consultancy’s reputation for dependability and high quality delivery of oil and gas solutions. He will have an overview of all the project work being pursued and executed by the Aberdeen-based company.

Mr Yuile brings to Apply Altra almost four decades of experience of working in contractor organisations within the oil and gas industry. His previous roles include business manager with a large services contractor in Aberdeen and project manager on various projects, ranging from front end work to decommissioning. He has actively participated in industry bodies such as Step Change and was an original director of Decom North Sea. Within this new role Mr Yuile will be complementing the very successful management team already in place at Apply Altra, which is part of the Norway-based Apply group.

Mr Yuile says, “The Apply group comes with an excellent reputation within the oil and gas sector, which was one of my main reasons for joining the team here. I was attracted by the commitment and team spirit demonstrated by everyone in the company. I am delighted to be part of the Apply Altra team and I aim to significantly grow the company through pursuing and winning challenging work contracts, delivering top quality products and achieving customer loyalty.”

Apply Altra managing director Agnar Kongshaug adds, “Bill comes with an excellent track record. We strongly believe that his appointment will stand Apply Altra in the best possible position to continue with its workforce expansion. The growth of the staff team is an integral part of our long-term strategy to create a centre of excellence for process engineering and general front end engineering and design within the Apply group.”

The Apply group has a total of 2,000 employees across Europe, mainly in the oil and gas industry. It has an operational presence in Bergen and Krakow in addition to its headquarters in Stavanger.
