Bright Purple MD to address SDI global event

Bright Purple MD to address SDI global event

Bright Purple’s Managing Director, Nick Price, is to address an event aimed at encouraging Scottish companies to explore international opportunities.  The ‘Enabling International Growth’ event, taking place on Thursday, 3rd March in Edinburgh, will provide a platform for guests to share experiences and discuss issues around targeting global markets with key figures from the Scottish business community.

Price will be part of a panel which includes Morrison Bowmore Distillers chief executive Mike Keiller, Entrepreneur Chris Van Der Kuyl and Scottish Development International (SDI) chief executive Anne MacColl. A number of SDI’s Globalscots – Scottish business ambassadors who are currently successfully operating their companies overseas – will also be in attendance.

Commenting on the event, Price said: “SDI has been hugely supportive of our efforts to expand Bright Purple’s global operations and I am delighted to share my experience of this process to date. It’s a huge honour for me to be part of a panel with such distinguished names - I hope that our story will help inspire others to think about the wider potential that exists outside of Scotland and the UK.

“I believe there are huge opportunities for Scottish companies which are currently going un-tapped. From our experience with Bright Purple, we are finding that Scotland ‘the brand’ still holds sway around the globe today and many people trust, admire and want to do business with Scottish firms. Just look at the success of companies like Wolfson and Optos who show that we can still lead the way in terms of innovation.”
