Bromak opens new headquarters after record £7 million year

Bromak, a successful built environment recruitment consultancy has opened a new headquarters in the North West as it looks to build upon its most successful year-to-date.

The new 3,000 sq.ft office, based in Bolton, will be home to 20 employees who specialise exclusively in built environment recruitment.

Bromak works with organisations such as FHM, Three Valley’s Housing, ISG, Eric Wright, Bramall, Mears, Bovis, Bullock and Interserve offering temporary and permanent recruitment services. This includes trades and labour, site management and engineering staff for site and office-based commercial, planning and administrative staff.

The business has posted its most successful financial results with a turnover of £7 million, up 20 per cent on the previous year with profit growth of 40 per cent. The company, founded in 2003, employs 30 people and is looking towards further expansion.

David Brooks, managing director of Bromak, said “This is just the first step in our expansion; we have plans to further increase our workforce across the business in the next 12 months while increasing our turnover to £9 million.

“The construction industry has been through a rough patch but our success is derived from our knowledge of the industry and from delivering a consistently high level of service to our clients. We only recruit consultants that have worked in the sector so therefore can offer a genuine knowledge and a commitment to help our clients make a difference to the built environment.

“The recovery of the UK construction industry, the strength of the housing market and the commencement of major infrastructure projects underpins the future growth of the UK’s economy. Like construction, the UK’s recruitment industry has also had some difficult years but it is clear that supplementing your core permanent workforce with skilled and qualified workers employed through an agency can offer increased flexibility and significant cost savings.”

Bromak has specialist consultants servicing a number of different construction sectors such as social housing, building services, civil engineering, education, house-building and shop-fitting.

The company has nearly doubled its office space with the move from its previous Bolton headquarters and has recruited seven new employees in the past 12 months to help service the increasing number of skilled individuals looking for work.

Bromak works with private and public sector organisations across the UK from its offices in Sheffield, Cannock and the new head office in Bolton.
