Change Recruitment’s Laura Drysdale wins Young Business Person of the Year Award

Laura Drysdale, Chief Operating Officer at Change Recruitment Group has been named Young Business Person of the Year at the Glasgow Business Awards.

The award was presented at a glittering ceremony at the Thistle Hotel in Glasgow.

Since joining the company in 2003 Laura has set up and driven forward the international division. The 32-year-old started out as the company’s only consultant working purely on international recruitment. She was quickly promoted, becoming International Divisional Manager in 2005.

In 2006 Laura was asked to join the management team and take part in a £14 million MBO of the company. In the same year the international sub-division became a division in its own right, with Laura becoming Divisional Managing Director overseeing 12 consultants.

Laura became Chief Operating Officer last year. Today the international division is the fastest growing area within the business, accounting for around 45 per cent of the company’s net income. She now manages 48 international consultants working across the Glasgow and Edinburgh offices.

The Glasgow Business Awards are now in their 14th year and are organised by the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce.
