Change Recruitment Group appoints new MD of its domestic business

Scotland’s leading independent recruitment consultancy, Change, has appointed Mark McFall as managing director of its domestic business.

The domestic MD role is a new position created by Change following on from the success of the group’s international division, which is overseen by its dedicated managing director, Laura Drysdale.

Mark’s appointment completes the group's board, which is headed by Jim Faulds as chairman. The domestic MD position sits alongside Laura Drysdale, managing director of the international division and Brian Robinson, group finance director.

Mark will relocate from London to take up the newly created post within the group and will operate out of Change's offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh.

He joins from Barclay Meade in London, where he held the position of operations director for the past two years. Prior to this he spent nine years with Hudson, holding various senior positions in London, Manchester, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Commenting on the new role, Jim Faulds, Change Recruitment’s chairman said: “This is a strategic appointment for the group, and comes just after Change has been listed as one of the UK’s fastest growing recruitment consultancies. Mark has vast experience of the UK recruitment market and in particular across professional services and we see his knowledge and experience of the marketplace being able to significantly develop and enhance our current domestic offering.”

“Our international division has grown considerably over the last 12 months due to a significant rise in demand for candidates in more challenging overseas markets. We now have over 50 staff placing candidates in jobs around the world and we intend to replicate that success in the domestic market.”

Mark McFall said: “This is a very exciting position and provides a welcomed opportunity for me to return to Scotland. Change already has ambitious plans in place and I'm looking forward to expanding our service offering within the UK, whilst continuing to deliver a high quality service to our candidates and clients.”
