Definitive Consulting hires Investigo’s Sam Bell to strengthen its Financial Services offering

Definitive Consulting announced today the appointment of Sam Bell who joins as a Principle Consultant, and will lead the firm’s financial markets offering in the Asset Management, Banking and Insurance sectors.  Sam will be based at Definitive’s head office in the City of London and take on a nationwide remit.

Craig Hoyland, Partner and Head of Advisory at Definitive Consulting, said: “We are delighted to welcome Sam to the team.  He is well known in the market, particularly amongst the major Banks and Insurers, and brings a set of skills and experience that compliments our existing teams.  This hire is part of an ongoing strategy to provide our candidates and clients with a true full professional services offering and comes on the back of a year of very strong growth for the firm.”

Sam joins Definitive Consulting from Investigo, where he was Head of Banking and Financial Services.  His arrival at Definitive is the latest in a string of new hires according to Hoyland.

He said: “We have made a series of additions to the firm in recent months and intend to make several others this year.  All are experienced consultants of the highest calibre and will benefit greatly from our established search platform from which we now service the full spectrum of the professional services market from our Audit, Tax, Consulting, Legal and now, Financial Markets divisions.  The focus is on hiring people who can compliment the existing offering, hit the ground running, deepen and broaden the consultancy we provide our clients and, as a consequence, open up new opportunities for our candidates.”

Speaking about his new role, Bell said: “Joining Definitive was an easy decision, as it gives me an opportunity to work with some of the best in the business, whilst the overall approach to recruitment consultancy is very much in step with my own.

“In particular, a well developed search capability, coupled with the personalised, hands on approach more commonly found in small, boutique firms is very attractive.  I don’t want to be winning recruitment briefs and then handing the work off to someone else, and that is absolutely not an issue here.  I will be working very closely with both clients and candidates, back by the resourced required to do a great job, every time”
