Designers support anti-drugs drive

A Birmingham-based charity has welcomed valuable support in its drive to help drug addicts turn their lives around.

Phoenix Futures launched an education campaign with posters and leaflets after responding to an offer from employment experts Pertemps People Development Group. The Edgbaston-based company contacted local charities offering the services of its marketing and design team free of charge.

PPDG has appealed for more charities that may benefit from free graphic design support services to get in touch.

Marcia Dixon, outreach team manager at the charity, said: “We will be using the leaflets to advertise our services in hostels, community centres, neighbourhood offices and other venues where people in need of support for their substance misuse may be. I would like to say thank you for the support PPDG has given to our team.”

She added: “We will be using the leaflets to advertise our services in hostels, community centres, neighbourhood offices and other venues where people in need of support for their substance misuse may be. I would like to say thank you for the support PPDG has given to our team. The leaflets and posters we requested were designed with our target audience in mind. They are eye-catching and informative without being too wordy. We also had a point of sale stand designed to match them which helps draw even more attention.

“From start to finish the service we have received has been professional, considerate, stress free and quicker than expected. I would definitely recommend other charities take advantage of this offer.”

Paul King, PPDG’s marketing and PR director, invited charities to contact the design team by emailing aiden.begley@ppdg.co.uk for more information.
