77Agency adds new dates to meet demand for digital skills training

Due to excessive demand, 77Agency, the leading independent new media marketing agency, has announced 12 new dates for its Facebook training courses. The courses, which have only been available since August, are designed to help to plug the digital skills gap caused by the explosion in use of social media for business over recent years.

The new Facebook training courses, which are run at the company’s London office, or in house, are part of its successful digital training academy, the 77Academy. The 77Academy, renowned for its 10 week digital training academy, now gives digital marketers the skills they need to run successful digital campaigns across any platform.

The three new Facebook training courses launched this summer are Facebook Advertising, Facebook Pages and Facebook for Marketers. Catering for various levels of expertise, from beginner to advanced and ranging from half day courses to full day, the courses are proving very popular for companies looking to engage with consumers on Facebook.

Facebook Advertising. This course explains the Facebook advertising platform, demonstrates how marketers can easily reach customers by using cost per click (CPC) or cost per impression (CPM) pricing models and also how to make use of the extensive targeting tools that this social media platform offers

Facebook Pages. This course details how to make the most of engaging with your customers through Facebook Pages. Attendees will learn how to set up and optimise Facebook pages, using tools such as applications, custom tabs and advertising and also how to use page insights to further improve the effectiveness of Facebook marketing efforts

Facebook for Marketers. This course explains how marketers can take advantage of the most powerful online advertising tool. Attendees will learn how to set up, manage and optimise their Facebook marketing strategies using tools such as Facebook advertising, pages, groups, applications and open graph

Anneke Onwijn, 77Academy tutor said: “We decided to start our training courses in response to our client’s & the industry’s need for people with specific digital skills, something that was in increasingly short supply. And obviously, companies are waking up to this lack of digital skills as we’ve had to add new dates to our courses just to meet demand. The skills gap is also only set to widen further in 2012, with digital accounting for 24% of the growth in the media and entertainment industry alone.”

“Digital skills is an area that is often overlooked on marketing degree courses and many graduates do not have the practical experience of running campaigns in Facebook and Google. Our courses address this; providing the skills needed to become a successful digital marketer and have led to graduates going on to have successful careers within digital marketing for companies such as Saxo Bank, EstéeLauder, OMD International, TradeDoubler, Zanox and Mindshare, something I am extremely proud of.”
