Director Tony Battersby, Retires from Recruitment

"After 25 years in IT Recruitment I have today officially retired from mainstream recruitment. As many have been aware I have been an active member of TEAM – The Employment Agents Movement – having held positions both as Midlands Regional Director and National IT & Technical Director.

Most of my time in recruitment was with Professional Systems Personnel (PSP) – 17 years - an IT contract recruitment company where I worked my way up from Consultant, flying my own desk, through to Sales Manager and finally 10 years as General Manager. During that time the company increased turnover from £400k to almost £20M and I was fortunate enough to work with a committed and loyal staff driving the company forward.

More recently I have run Good Service IT Recruitment as a one man band and have leaned heavily on the TEAM Network for help and guidance as well as shared business opportunities. It is with some sadness that I have decided to retire but all good things do come to an end – despite August and September have been my best ever period for sales!!

So to all my colleagues past and present and to the many friends I have made, thank you for help, advice and support over the past 25 years – you will be missed but not forgotten!!”
