Do you know an inspiring female technologist?

The everywoman in Technology Awards are now open for nominations. The awards are this year being held in association with by career portal and networking site, Women in Technology (www.womenintechnology.co.uk)

everywoman, the UK’s largest female business community, seeks to recognise and celebrate the success of women working in the technology through these awards, encouraging more women into the industry and ultimately providing a pipeline of talent and future industry leaders.

“Female representation within the IT & Telecoms industry as a whole is on the decline, and so it’s a privilege to partner with an organisation like everywoman who shares our goal to bring more women into the sector,” says Maggie Berry, Managing Director of Women in Technology.

She adds: “We are delighted to be working with everywoman again to uncover some of the hidden female talent in the UK's technology profession through the 2012 awards programme. We want to actively champion the women who are already doing great work in this sector and who, through these awards, will become inspirational role models for a future generation of female technologists.”

The everywoman in Technology Awards are free to enter and the 2012 categories include Rising Star for women under 26, Team Leader, Leader, Innovator, Entrepreneur, Inspiration and Woman of The Year. The awards programme will culminate in a glittering awards ceremony 29 March 2012 at The Savoy.

Entries are open from 01 September until 25 November 2011 and full details are online at www.everywoman.com/techawards.
