A high-flying Doncaster graduate has been selected for the inaugural placement of a prestigious annual internship.

Joe Morgan, 22, has just started his twelve-month paid post at Stafforce Recruitment Head Office, on Percy Street, Rotherham.  As a Graduate HR Advisor, he will gain hands-on experience of all aspects of recruitment and human resources.

The opportunity was created recently when Stafforce marked the first twelve months of a long-term contract with the University of Lincoln by offering a role for its top HR Management BA Honours graduate every year.

Born in Doncaster, Joe is well-travelled.  His father was in the RAF so he grew up in many locations around the world and although based in Lincolnshire for a number of years, he has spent May – September of the last three working in US summer camps, where he met his Arizonan girlfriend.

In fact, he was travelling in America when he learned that he had been invited for interview.  He arrived at his interview still jet-lagged, but this did not stop him dazzling a panel of tough inquisitors from Stafforce. Very soon afterwards he started his new job.

Joe said: “I am really looking forward to getting out there and meeting people in the Stafforce business and advising as best I can. This experience will help me make my next career move and I hope one day to work internationally in HR.  I love the profession and travelling, so that seems to me to be the perfect combination!”

He also has a passion for politics and current affairs.  With a particular interest in employment law, a longer term ambition is to become a politician. Currently living in Thorne, he is looking for somewhere between Rotherham and Leeds Metropolitan University, where his girlfriend is due to take up a place shortly.

The new internship was announced at a recent University of Lincoln Top Student Award Ceremony.

Stafforce Chief Executive, Ian Anderson said: “We are looking to offer gateway opportunities to the best HR graduates, so that they can acquire the range of practical skills needed by labour providers and managers today.

”The more real achievers we can get into the industry, the better it will be for future candidates, host companies and regional and national economies.”
