Elisabeth Marx joins Stonehaven

Dr Elisabeth Marx, a former partner at Heidrick and Struggles, has joined Stonehaven, the Executive Search and Advisory firm founded in 2008 by Simon Hall, former Global Head of Financial Services at Heidrick.  Marx joins the Board Practice to work with Hall and Stonehaven’s Chairman, Bob Wigley, the former Chairman of Merrill Lynch EMEA.  Marx will work in Board Advisory focused on succession planning, top team development and non-executive director searches, with a particular focus on gender and international diversity within Boards and senior executive teams. 

Her research on CEOs and Boards is frequently covered in the international press and she is the author of ‘Breaking through Culture Shock’ (Nicholas Brealey 2001). She is also a consultant at INSEAD’s Global Leadership Centre. 

Marx studied psychology at Marburg, gained her doctorate at Oxford University and was a lecturer at the National University of Singapore, before moving into consultancy.
