FDM Group Appoints New Global Services Director

The UK’s largest IT graduate employer welcomes Paul Jobbins on board
 
Paul Jobbins started his career in Aircraft Simulation for Sussex based firm Singer Link Miles, specializing in flight and driver evaluation software. Throughout the nine years of his employment at the company, Paul spent a significant amount of time on international assignments.
 
After succeeding in the role of Principle Development Engineer at Singer Link Miles, Paul found employment with another Sussex based company, August Systems, and was appointed as Software Development Manager.
 
At the time, August Systems were internationally recognized as the leader in triplicated safety systems, specifically designed for offshore and onshore Oil and Gas refineries. The position again demanded international travel and Paul found himself working in the far and Middle East on a regular basis.
 
After 7 years in this role, Paul began working for Securicor Information Systems as Head of Development.
 
Throughout his 14-year employment at this company, the organisation underwent a management buyout and two subsequent sales of the company, the first to SunGard and more recently to Capita.
 
Paul’s job role also underwent significant changes throughout this time as he moved from demanding job roles ranging from Head of Software Development, to Programme Director for all criminal justice activity and lastly Executive Director.
 
For the last five years, Paul has been successfully running three of the companies four businesses and has now been appointed as FDM Group’s Global Services Director.
 
He will be responsible for overseeing FDM’s services, which include: PMO, Development, Application Support, Infrastructure and Testing.
 
Paul is delighted to be joining FDM four months after the company was named the 11th fastest growing company in Europe.
