Forde Recruitment opens new offices and celebrates 20 years in business

South Yorkshire firm Forde Recruitment has celebrated its 20th year in business with the opening of its new offices in Sheffield.

Guests saw Yuri Matischen, who recently completed his year as president of the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce, cut a ribbon to declare the building at Townhead Street officially open.

The three storey building which has been fully refurbished will enable the company to offer state-of-the-art facilities and seminar space.

Paul Forde, managing director of Forde Recruitment, said: “The official opening was a very proud moment for all the team. Our move to new offices reflects our success over the last two decades as a company and our commitment to develop the business and deliver a high quality service to our clients now and in the future. 

“We have reached a significant milestone in our history and are looking forward to the next stage of the business.”

Forde Recruitment, which specialises in placing temporary and permanent staff into commerce and industry throughout the UK, was launched in 1991 and was founded on solid, traditional business principles. Over the last two decades the company has grown and adapted to changing business conditions, while retaining many of its original clients.

Over the last ten years Forde Recruitment has acquired other recruitment businesses, increasing its share of the transport and clerical market. However, its original core business has always been within the logistics sector.

It has also diversified into new areas and in 2010 launched Forde Education, which recruits teachers and other educational specialists, as well as developing the Forde Technical division which supplies temporary and permanent candidates to engineering, rail, civil engineering and construction. This is part of the company’s plan to build new business, while at the same time maintaining an excellent service for its more established clients.
