Former Leeds lawyers launch legal recruitment consultancy

Two former Leeds solicitors have launched CapeClake, a niche legal recruitment consultancy covering the North of England.
Founded by Terry Cape and Chris Clarke, CapeClarke aims to offer a fresh, unbiased approach to legal recruitment with a focus on the Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool, Sheffield and Newcastle markets.
As former lawyers themselves, Cape and Clarke have significant experience of working for two of the North’s leading regional law firms. Cape trained and qualified at Addleshaw Goddard where he worked as a commercial property lawyer for two years before moving into the legal recruitment sector in 2009. Clarke completed his legal training at Walker Morris where he worked for two years before making the move to legal recruitment two years ago.

TerryCape, director and co-founder of CapeClarke said: “Thanks to our legal backgrounds we are expertly placed to handle the complexities of recruiting for the sector. We appreciate the benefits, pressures and burdens of working for a top commercial law firm and understand what drives solicitors in their career objectives and goals.

“We have established our own firm as we wanted to have the creative freedom to run the business our own way with a real focus on the needs and wants of clients and candidates.”

Chris Clarke, director and co-founder of CapeClarke added: “We believe that legal recruitment is about relationships and CapeClarke’s aim is to act in the best interests of our clients and candidates. We take the time to learn about our clients’ businesses as well as understand the motivations and ambitions of our candidates to ensure we recruit the right people for the right firm.”

CapeClarke is based at Princes Exchange, Leeds. For more information visit www.capeclarke.comor call 0113 238 5965.
