30 leading UK job boards now carry Whatjobsite Approved Kitemark 2010

Whatjobsite.com is delighted to announce that 30 leading UK job boards have now been awarded the Whatjobsite Approved Website Kitemark 2010.

Launched in February 2010, the Whatjobsite Approved Website Kitemark was developed in association with leading job boards in the UK who shared the goal of wanting to identify their offering as a quality recruitment advertising service for employer recruiters as well as seeking to encourage better standards in the wider job board sector.

“Our goal with our site, http://www.whatjobsite.com/ href="http://www.whatjobsite.com/">www.whatjobsite.com, has always been to offer employer recruiters real and compelling independent help and advice on online recruitment and job board advertising,” says Karl Schweppe, Managing Director of http://whatjobsite.com/ href="http://whatjobsite.com/">whatjobsite.com. “The Whatjobsite Approved Website Kitemark is part of this goal and seeks to offer a mark of trust in online recruitment for such employer recruiters.”

With ever-increasing numbers of recruitment websites in the UK, of increasingly varying quality and reputation, the employer recruiter faces significant challenges in identifying quality job boards. The often limited expertise in online recruitment of the employer recruiter makes the choice of job board difficult. And the very real bottom-line needs of the employer recruiter makes the choice of job board especially crucial. It is to help such recruiters in their job board choices that http://whatjobsite.com/ href="http://whatjobsite.com/">whatjobsite.com initiated the Whatjobsite Approved Website Kitemark.

The Whatjobsite Approved Website Kitemark is a criteria-based award, with the Kitemark being awarded to job boards that meet a set of criteria that seek to evaluate them as viable and trustworthy recruitment advertising media for employer recruiters. The Kitemark criteria evaluate and assess job board legal compliance, traffic statistics, pricing and job inventory amongst other things. All of the criteria, however, aim to identify viable job boards for employer recruiters.

“We are truly delighted with the take up of the Whatjobsite Approved Website Kitemark by so many leading sites. We are also encouraged by the vigorous involvement of so many job boards in the ongoing development of the Kitemark,” adds Karl Schweppe. “On reaching this important milestone of 30 leading UK job boards, we believe we are well on our way to realising our goal and that of our partner job boards: to offer a mark of trust to the employer recruiter and improve standards in the job board sector.”
