A New Career With Confidence

A pair of Weybridge businesswomen have used the recession to their advantage and started a company to help turn redundancy into a positive opportunity which is benefiting the recruitment industry. Anita Whiting and Jo Brandon started in the recruitment industry more than 20 years ago and, in response to the recession and changing economics, formed Career Confidence.

The service offers those who have been made redundant the opportunity to get back into the job market as well as maximising the support companies can give when redundancy is the only option left. This has meant that where agencies felt as though they are inundated with too many candidates they can now turn to Career Confidence to help provide outplacement career advice and turn these people into potential fee placements once more. A further benefit to Recruitment Agencies is the company can help to alleviate pressure of door stopping when they refer candidates to us for training and we then send them back better prepared for the market?

Mrs Whiting said: “The wheels of the industry are still turning and there are plenty of opportunities in the job market. People who have been in their jobs for a while often need help in navigating their way around job sites and need to be taught how to sell themselves again. That’s where we come in and help everyone in the recruitment circle.”
