A global recruitment group has signalled expansion plans

New HQ For Faststream

A global recruitment group has signalled expansion plans with new improved headquarters on the South Coast of England.

Faststream, established 11 years ago by Mark Charman, has relocated to a waterfront premises at Ocean Village, a marina, offices and entertainment centre in the port city of Southampton.

The group provides maritime, oil and gas and built environment recruitment from offices in the UK, Singapore, USA and Norway and is widely regarded as the shipping market’s leading recruiter for technical and commercial shore-based placements.

Mr Charman, Chief Executive Officer, said: “Our new and improved headquarters offers the business a solid base to grow into the future, and expand on our current workforce of 65 specialist global consultants.”

He added: “We’ve emerged strong from the global downturn because, despite poor markets, companies are still continuing to make critical hires in our specialist sectors.

“A good indicator of the health of our markets has been the fact that Faststream itself continues to grow, with more recruiters in all of our offices managing a greater workload.

“From our new global head office we will continue to invest heavily in our staff and internal systems to ensure that we have a solid foundation from which to continue growing and delivering a world-class service to our clients and candidates.”

Faststream, which was founded in Southampton, had its previous office less than a mile away at Town Quay.

The group’s new office, which underwent a £150,000 refit and refurbishment by Southampton-based ODT Business Interiors, is The Quay, 30 Channel Way, Ocean Village.
