IT Recruitment Consultancy Harvey Nash
Six intrepid IT workers
Six intrepid IT workers from Birmingham have teamed up for charity, and will take part in the CARE IT 3 Peaks Challenge this summer. The challenge, aimed at teams from the IT sector, will raise money for leading international aid and development agency CARE International. CARE helps 59 million people a year, in 70 countries, find routes out of poverty.
The team, all colleagues and associates from IT Recruitment Consultancy Harvey Nash, will be faced with the ambitious challenge of scaling the three highest mountains in the UK, Ben Nevis (1334m), Scafell Pike (978m) and Snowdon (1,085m), all in the target time of 24 hours.
Says Team Leader Joanne Oakley, Corporate Accounts Manager for Harvey Nash, “There is a lot of anticipation around the event, and maybe a little bit of apprehension too. We’re very excited! I have personally always wanted to do the 3 Peaks. I love physical challenges and this is also encompassing the IT industry while raising money for a very good cause, so it’s the perfect event.”
