Telstra International selected by Aspire Media Group for managed virtualised hosting

Telstra International has been selected by Aspire Media Group, the online recruitment solution provider, which includes the world’s first internet recruitment service, JobServe and web development company HotLizard, to manage its hosting infrastructure at its state-of-the-art London Hosting Centre.

Telstra International will support Aspire’s many recruitment and ‘job board’ websites, provide managed services, supported by strict service levels and 24/7 technical support,  through its virtualised hosting environment at its London Hosting Centre – Docklands.

Aspire Media Group companies advertise jobs from around the world including Australia, Canada, the United States and the UK. The company, formed in 1993, includes JobServe, which was one of the world’s first providers of ‘jobs by email’.  Today JobServe alone advertises over 2.5m jobs per year online.

Aspire Media Group’s JobServe website already receives tens of millions of hits a month and the amount of traffic continues to grow. This means the hosting infrastructure supporting these services must be extremely robust and reliable, to ensure its websites can handle ever-increasing traffic.

To ensure highly efficient infrastructure, Aspire Media Group opted for a virtualised environment supported by Telstra International’s dedicated account managers, and by choosing a managed solution, its IT team could focus on other projects.

According to Adrian Chapman, Aspire Media Group’s Infrastructure Manager, when the Group recently acquired the web development company HotLizard, which specialises in providing online recruitment solutions and develops and manages hundreds of recruitment websites, it needed to make sure it had the IT systems and support in place to manage the internet traffic.

“Our business depends on the reliability of the supporting IT infrastructure, so ensuring this is managed according to strict Service Level Agreements is essential.

“Working with and leveraging Telstra International’s expertise in managed hosting means we are not only able to focus on additional projects but are also assured of a highly resilient infrastructure,” Mr Chapman said.

Andrew Wildblood, Vice President Sales, Telstra International EMEA said that: “Recruitment is an industry that has been transformed by the internet and this means that websites like HotLizard and companies like Aspire need to be able to rely on robust infrastructure to ensure 24/7 availability.”

“We are extremely pleased to be working with Aspire Media Group, which is testament to Telstra International’s capabilities in supporting and managing these demanding environments,” Mr Wildblood said.
