GAP PERSONNEL SECURES SECOND SCOTTISH ACQUISITION

The UKs fastest growing independent recruitment firm, gap personnel, has acquired its second Scottish recruitment agency in as many months.

Elite Insurance Appointments, based in central Glasgow, has this week announced the deal (for an undisclosed sum) which sees it joining a nationwide network of over 40 gap personnel branches. Edinburghs Office Personnel was the first Scottish recruiter to be acquired by gap personnel, this recent takeover of Elite Insurance Appointments will be integral in the companys ambitious expansion plans into Scotland and the new Glasgow office will be spearheading the brands growth throughout the region.

The deal is the ninth of numerous acquisitions planned this year for ambitious gap personnel and is seen as a key stepping stone for further expansion into Scotland. It marks one of the most significant additions for the company whose aim is to provide customers with industry leading local expertise with nationwide capabilities and to turnover 100 million by the end of 2012.

Elite Insurance Appointments was established in 1990 and has become one of the most respected specialist recruitment agencies in Scotland, specialising in the selection and placement of temporary and permanent Insurance and Financial Services staff in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Dundee.

The team of five at Elite, headed up by the two directors, Lynn Wilson and Elaine McCrink, will now undertake leading industry training in order to extend what they offer to include Gap Personnels expert recruitment service in Driving, Care, Commercial, Technical, Industrial and Legal sectors.

Lynn Wilson and Elaine McCrink have over 24 years recruitment experience and are central to the success of Elite, they will continue to manage the office and will report directly to gap personnel managing director, Gary Dewhurst.
