DRIVER SAFETY CRUSADER WINS DIRECTOR OF THE YEAR AWARD

Passionate road safety advocate and recruiter Chris Howell has become the Institute of Directors South East Director of the Year in the category for organisations of between 5 and 24 million turnover.

Howell, Chairman of the leading UK driver education provider DriveTech (UK) plc, which is based at Crowthorne near Bracknell, was delighted with the outcome but typically self-effacing: Although this is essentially a personal award I must immediately pay tribute to my fellow directors and senior management team, who have been tasked with delivering my vision and proved that a business with high ideals, based on making the roads a safer place for all, can also be highly successful commercially.

As recent events in the financial world have proved only too graphically, strong management is crucial in meeting ones goals and at DriveTech we continue to exceed both our, and our customers, expectations."
