Manpower Agrees Vietnamese Deal
Manpower Inc. has agreed a three-year deal with Vietnam's Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to jointly develop labor information systems, forecast labor market needs and identify the labor requirements of Vietnamese enterprises. Manpower and the ministry will also work together on a pilot project in employment services.
Mnapower opened its first office in Hanoi, Vietnam, at the start of 2008 when .it was granted a license as an outplacement and human resources firm. Manpower is now awaiting its license for permanent employment services by the Hanoi People Committee, and the company expects the license by the end of the year. Manpower said the license will make it the first 100% foreign-owned employment services company to enter Vietnam.
