reed.co.uk launches all new site

reed.co.uk has launched a brand new version of its highly successful job site.

In addition to a complete design refresh, the new version of the site brings a range of new features that will benefit both recruiters and jobseekers.

reed.co.uk continues to be the most visited commercial job site in the UK (Hitwise), generating in excess of 1.4 million job applications every month, and the new version will raise the standard for both jobseekers and recruiters.

Karen Pope, Design Team Leader on the project, explains how her team helped improve an already popular site:
"Users told us that they liked the key design elements of the old site, such as the colour palate and navigation."The focus for the new version has been on more consistent signposting and providing jobseekers with clearer, more relevant content, directing them to the jobs they're interested in more quickly.

Andy Wilson, Business Operations Manager at reed.co.uk, explains the rationale behind some of the new features and functionality:

"Comprehensive analysis and rigorous usability testing enabled us to concentrate on every detail, making small improvements wherever we could.

"We've also enhanced job search to deliver even more relevant vacancies to jobseekers, promoting local searching and providing a shortlist of recommended jobs with each visit.

Other new features include a recruiter ranking system, based on jobseeker feedback, and Salary Mate, designed to help jobseekers find higher paying opportunities.

Martin Warnes, Managing Director at reed.co.uk, concludes:

This is a hugely exciting time for us. As well as providing an enhanced experience for jobseekers, the new version of reed.co.uk will help us fulfil our clients objectives more effectively than ever before: driving the most relevant applications to their vacancies and continuing to offer a superior level of response.

Were confident reed.co.uk will deliver even more value to recruiters and strengthen our position as the most popular site for jobseekers in the UK.
