Jason Campbell appointed new Chair of RECs Construction Sector Group

The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) has appointed Jason Campbell to head up its Construction Sector Group.

Jason, who succeeds Trevor Rees as Chair of the Group and was previously its Vice-Chair, now works for SkyBlue, the building and construction recruitment based at its head office in Wolverhampton.

He started his career in construction in 1987 as a tradesman working on different projects before he joined SkyBlue in 2002 undertaking several roles in that time and has been integral in the growth of the companys network of offices nationwide from three to 11.

Jason was encouraged to join the REC as an Individual Member and having been made Chair of the Construction Group, he said his ambition has now been fulfilled.

One of his first aims in the next year is to help grow membership in the sector from its existing 136 to up to 150.

The REC does a lot of excellent work within construction and the more members we attract who also want to promote best practice in the industry, the stronger our voice will become.

It is vitally important that they are made aware of the benefits of joining the REC such as the free legal helpline which is particularly important in these difficult times.

At the last meeting of the Construction Groups Executive, Darin Burrows of Rullion agreed to take on the post of Vice-Chair.
