New website leads to 10% efficiency gains

Key activity on has increased by 10% in the month since the launch of its new website in December 2008.

The gains have been achieved by streamlining the major functional areas of the site, as well as refreshing elements of design and navigation.

As a result, job viewings and completion of candidate registrations and applications have all increased by 10%, helping to drive up the response rates for each job listing.

New features have also been introduced, including a recruiter rating system, based on jobseeker feedback, and Salary Mate, designed to help jobseekers find higher paying opportunities.

An enhanced Recommended Jobs feature continues to ensure that recruiters receive the most relevant applications by promoting their vacancies to the most suitable candidates.

Recruiters are benefiting from a higher response to their listings, enhanced branding options and email campaigns, as well as access to the UKs busiest CV database.

Already this year, over 500,000 unique jobseekers have visited the site, generating record levels of activity. Over 75,000 job applications were processed on Monday 5 January with over 6,500 new candidates registering a CV.
