REC achieves a first

REC achieves a first with endorsement of sales training courses

The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) is the first professional representative body to receive endorsement for its sales training courses from the Institute of Sales and Marketing Management (ISMM).

The endorsement is the ISMMs benchmark for recognition of high quality sales training programmes that are both well designed and delivered to consistently high standards.

The ISMM is the professional body that serves and promotes standards and excellence in the sales industry. Its Professional Development and Training section endorses sales training courses, such as those offered by the REC, which meet its own criteria.

The RECs Head of Training Andrew Carr and Training Manager Lauren King have been working closely with the ISMM towards the endorsement of the eight sales-orientated courses which are run for recruiters both members and non-members - across the UK.

The courses have been specifically tailored to be modern in approach, realistic and offer the right kind of guidance to meet the challenges presented by the current work and economic climate.

Dr William Pedley, the ISMMs Director of Professional Development and Training, said of the RECs endorsement: This is a major step forward for the professionalism of the recruitment industry. The support of the REC in turn will also boost our campaign to professionalise and promote the importance of all people working in the sales sector.

Judith Armatage, the RECs Director of Professional Development, said: Achieving ISMM accreditation for the REC sales training courses is an outstanding achievement and one which we are extremely proud of. The accreditation is yet another assurance to our clients that REC courses are relevant, high quality and professional.
