Business support and executive recruitment specialist joins APSCo

Angela Mortimer, the business support and executive recruitment specialist, has become a full member of the newly formed Association of Professional Staffing Companies (APSCo).

Angela Mortimer recruits permanent and temporary staff from new graduates through to executive jobs commanding 80K salaries. Roles include PA, secretarial, office management, language, administration, graduate, reception and customer service IT staff, account staff and customer service.

Angela Mortimer joining APSCo will further diversify the associations membership beyond the technology staffing sector.

APSCo was created on January 1st 2009 following a decision by the Association of Technology Staffing Companies (ATSCo) to broaden its membership and activities to include all staffing companies that place business professionals. The Forum of Professional Recruiters merged with APSCo on January 1st 2009.

According to John Mortimer, Managing Director of Angela Mortimer, APSCo has been consistently more effective in representing the professional level staffing industry than other industry trade bodies.

He comments: As soon as APSCo opened its doors to a wider spectrum of recruitment firms, we were very keen to join. Angela Mortimer has had to undertake its own lobbying several times in the past because of the lack of representation for professional staffing companies in the recruitment industry. I now feel that we have that representation in APSCo.

He explains: When the Regulation of the Private Recruitment Industry Bill tried to outlaw temp to perm fees charged by recruitment consultancies, it was ATSCo that won concessions on behalf of the IT recruitment industry at a time when other industry lobbyists had thrown in the towel.

Ann Swains leadership and dedication has always been impressive. APSCos national, and now international forums and delegations, are perfectly tailored for the business development of professional staffing companies.

Ann Swain, CEO of APSCo says: I am thrilled to welcome this prestigious company to APSCo. The bigger APSCo grows the more powerful its voice becomes, which in turn benefits the wider professional staffing industry.
