Denholm Associates has launched a new service Denholm Transitional aimed at a cross section of employers in Scotland currently facing unprecedented challenges in HR and recruitment.
The service fills the gap left by expensive outplacement specialists, Job Centres and overstretched in-house HR resources. Experienced Denholm consultants spend time in structured sessions with employees looking at strategic career planning, improving practical skills such as interview techniques and preparing CVs, planning necessary training and development and easing any difficult transitions that come with a change to, or loss of, a job. In addition Denholm Transitional offers a real route to the jobs market for any displaced workers, with an added value recruitment candidate service as part of the package.
John Denholm, Managing Director, announced: In todays climate we quickly recognised that not all businesses wanted or could afford the large, national firms that offer outplacement services. Our new transitional service offers a real practical approach to the dilemma faced by employers facing major changes to the structure of their business. They want to ensure they are treating employees well and fairly but often are looking at redundancies or other areas of change which are always difficult for staff. It is also crucial for employers to protect their brand right now. If they handle these processes badly they could take years to recover from the damage this does to their reputation.
