APSCo was created on January 1st 2009 after the Association of Technology Staffing Companies (ATSCo) decided to broaden its membership and activities to include all staffing companies that place business professionals. The Forum of Professional Recruiters merged with APSCo on January 1st 2009.

pfj specialises in recruiting media, business information and new media professionals.

Paul Farrer, Managing Director and founder of pfj says: The initial attraction for us to join APSCo was the buzz of its forums and the calibre and quality of its members.

Most importantly APSCo is founded and run by recruiters, so it has an implicit understanding of fundamental the issues that professional recruitment companies face. APSCo is at the forefront of supporting the professional recuitment industry and demonstrating how essential recruitment is to the health of the economy as a whole.

This is an industry where people arent afraid to talk about problems and solutions, so its great that APSCo has embraced and formalised this culture into its many forums. The forums and trade delegations which provide assistance with growing a recruitment business on a global scale are invaluable and have set a new benchmark for the industry.

Ann Swain, CEO of APSCo says: Im delighted to welcome pfj as our first member from the media recruitment sector and glad to see that since we have opened our doors to the wider industry there has been a flood of pent-up demand from an incredibly diverse range of professional recruiters to join APSCo.
