Third Space Initiative
A new initiative in the world of Consulting S&H, established in 1992, is well known in the City for providing key individuals and strategic hires on a permanent and contract basis to banks, financial institutions, consultancy firms and technology vendors.
This month, they are launching an exciting new initiative S&H - Consulting in the Third Space, which positions itself firmly between the large consulting firms and the volume contract agencies.
Alan Summers, Managing Director of S&H, explains. As a recruitment business, we have a strong reputation for delivery. We have always combined the best qualities of a search firm with those of a professionally run contingency business. By adding a Consulting Division, we can now provide consultants with the right expertise and delivery capability to meet strategic and tactical assignments for technology and operations in financial institutions. This is particularly relevant due to the recent mergers which have created a demand for consultants to work on business and technology integration and rationalisation programmes.
This new initiative is headed up by Andy Barnes. The launch of our Consulting Division, S&H - Consulting in the Third Space is very much in response to client demand, says Andy. We have the same founding principles and values as our existing Resourcing business, and can now provide a people based solution to work with banks and financial institutions. All our consultants have experience of managing and implementing change, as well as having expertise with applications such as Calypso, Murex and Summit. This is complemented by specialist domain knowledge of a wide range of traded instruments and how they are processed, settled and reported for risk, regulatory and compliance purposes. The early response from the market on this initiative is very positive and our realistic and flexible approach has already resulted in the realisation of a number of opportunities.
Alan went on to say, The new Consulting arm will be independent of our existing Resourcing business which we are re-branding S&H - Resourcing in the Third Space.
Leading this division is Charles Rustin, a Director of S&H. He says, Our Resourcing business has enjoyed tremendous success based on our reputation of quality service and delivery. This has provided a strong foundation for our future growth. We continue to work with both existing and new clients, developing strategic relationships to provide them with the best talent and resources in the market. Although we are currently experiencing volatile market conditions, our clients are taking the opportunity to invest in new talent at senior and strategic levels. My role is to ensure that we continue to offer the best resourcing service in this competitive market.
