Elite Appointments defies economic downturn with expansion into Leeds
Glasgow based insurance and financial services recruitment specialists Elite Appointments are bucking the trend for businesses struggling in the current economic climate, by expanding their recruitment services network into Leeds city centre.
Elite Appointments, a division of recruitment network gap personnel, has recently acquired specialist IT and management agency Premier Recruitment as part of their ambitious expansions plans, which involve opening new branches throughout the UK, establishing a foot on the national recruitment market. This new division of Elite, as well as the team at gap personnel in Leeds, will operate out of Premiers premises on St Pauls Street in the city centre.
The new branch is the third new branch Elite to have opened in recent months, a second Elite in Edinburgh was opened in the last quarter of 2008 and an Aberdeen branch was opened only last month. The Leeds division is the brands first venture outside of Scotland.
Many businesses have found themselves casualties of the current economic climate, but Elite Appointment continues to go from strength to strength, Divisional Director Elaine McCrink explains. We are already one of the leading insurance and financial services recruiters in Scotland, and we hope to continue this success over the border, bringing our services and expertise to jobseekers and employers in the rest of the United Kingdom.
She continues, At Elite, our focus is on making the recruitment process easier, quicker and more effective. Acquiring a successful agency such as Premier Recruitment, will significantly increase our service offering to clients and candidates and strengthen our ties in the North of England.
We chose Leeds as the next step in our expansion plan as the city is already home to a number of our clients head offices and HR departments. Leeds is also one of the biggest cities in the country for insurance and finance service so we will be looking to extend our services to local employers in and around the city.
Despite the fact there seem to be daily reports of businesses struggling under the current economic crisis, Elite continues to grow, and Elaine puts its success down to the companys client relations/allegiances. Elite have built strong relationships over the past 19 years, and our clients range from local independent brokers to large international organisations. Our consultants provide our clients with an in depth knowledge of this specialist industry sector and our level of service and expertise keep businesses returning to us again and again for their recruitment solutions.
Elites Leeds division will be the recruitment specialists first outside of Scotland. There are further plans for the brand to expand into London and Manchester in 2009.
