Construction companies welcome agencys new approach to recruitment
A new approach to meeting the recruitment needs of East Midlands' construction companies has earned Leicester recruitment agency Barker Ross praise from its clients.
Instead of operating two separate desks each supplying temporary and permanent staff, the agency has introduced a combined desk manned by dedicated account managers who work with clients on a one to one basis.
The new team headed by consultants Jason Barrington and Aaron Broome has been introduced in response to clients needs and said Barker Ross, has been well received.
Among the firms to welcome the move is Lutterworth-based Neil Burke Joinery which employs 62 staff and uses additional temporary labour as and when needed.
Arwen Murphy of Neil Burke Joinery said: In recent times Barker Ross has helped us recruit not only joiners but workshop and project managers and a CAD designer. Much of what we do is quite specialised so we have very precise recruitment needs.
We appreciate being able to deal with one person who knows and understands our business and is able to provide us with quality people in both permanent and temporary positions.
Established in 1982, Neil Burke Joinery specialises in bespoke joinery contracts locally, nationally and in Europe.
Barker Ross director Ruth Appleton said: By combining our resources in this way, we have adapted to meet our clients needs in a changing marketplace and to provide each client company with its own dedicated service.
