Select Family, Select 2 More

The Select Family of Companies are on the acquisition trail once more. Following its recent $21 million deal to buy Westaff Inc, two further deals have been announced. Firstly Butler International Inc. says it has struck a deal to be acquired by a division of the Santa Barbara CA-based Select Family of Staffing companies.

Secondly, Global Employment Holdings Inc. said according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission it has made a deal to sell its Temporary Placement Services Inc. division to Select.

Terms of the Butler deal were not disclosed. Butler reported 2007 revenue of $312 million. Select said it had 2008 revenue of $1.5 billion. Select would acquire Temporary Placement Services for almost $2 million, according to the filing.

D. Stephen Sorenson, CEO of The Select Family of Companies, said the deals will add information technology and engineering services to Select.
