Contour Housing Group, one of the North Wests largest social landlords, has appointed Hays Social Housing, as its official recruitment partner. Contour has enlisted the help of Hays to recruit both temporary and permanent staff for the next two years.
The partnership means that expert Hays Social Housing consultants will be responsible for all recruitment at Contour, with a large proportion of the recruitment focusing on housing management roles. Other areas covered by the agreement include anything from asset management and maintenance professionals, trades & labour staff, corporate services staff, and IT and HR professionals.
Matt Lewis, Business Director at Hays Social Housing says: We will be working closely with Contour in order to meet their needs for social housing staff over the next two years. These professionals undertake a specialist job and it helps that we understand the market, have a comprehensive knowledge of the employer and know how to track down the best people for the job. Since the partnership was made official last week, we have already recruited an area housing manager, housing assistant and a housing administrator.
Vicki Lomas, HR Officer at Contour says: One of the big advantages that Hays bring is that we get the high profile of a global recruitment group, yet this is combined with a strong local presence. The agreement has allowed us to rationalise previous ad hoc arrangements with a host of agency suppliers and with a single provider we can more easily streamline our recruitment processes too.
In recent weeks, has won new contracts with a range of government and non-profit bodies, including the Royal Devon & Exeter NHS Foundation Trust, Cheshire Constabulary, Mencap and the British Heart Foundation.
