Kellan Group PLC Appoints New Chief Executive Officer

Kellan Group PLC a leading IT, accountancy, hospitality, leisure and professional services recruitment group, announces the appointment of Ross Eades as the new Group Chief Executive Officer effective from 20 April 2009.
Ross Eades joins Kellan Group from InterQuest Group plc where he has been CEO since 2003. InterQuest Group is an AIM listed IT specialist staffing business, where Ross has achieved outstanding financial performance increasing sales revenue from 12m to 104m. He also has a strong track record in transacting and integrating businesses, which is key to Kellan's own growth strategy. Prior to InterQuest, Ross began his career in IT recruitment in 1988 with Hunterskil. In 1997, he was appointed CEO of MPS Group International plc, a group of IT and Professional Services recruitment companies, which included such brands as Modis and Badenoch & Clark. Between 1997 and 2002, Ross was responsible for both organic and acquisitive growth, and over that period the group increased sales revenue from 72 million to 286 million and EBIT from 3 million to 21 million.

John Bowmer and Tony Reeves, Co-Chairmen of Kellan Group, commented on this appointment: Ross Eades has led significant successes in his career as CEO of staffing organisations. He has led companies through challenging times in the industry and he is an excellent choice of CEO for the Kellan Group to weather current difficult markets and strengthen the overall position of the Group in the market place. He has the track record and expertise to lead the Group into new areas and strengthen our position in sectors such as IT where his experience is first class. We are delighted he will be joining Kellan Group.

Ross Eades commented: I am excited about the challenge of leading Kellan Group. These are tough markets and the wider economic environment is challenging but the Senior Management of Kellan Group has incredible experience and the company is an excellent business with great people to weather the current difficult markets and work towards a strengthened position for the upturn.

InterQuest chairman Gary Ashworth said Ross has done a fantastic job for us over the past five years and he goes to Kellan Group with our thanks and our very best wishes. Im delighted that hell be staying with InterQuest as a non-executive Director. We are not planning to replace him as we have a huge amount of talent in the leaders of our various businesses which can now be further released to the benefit of the group. The group remains focused on achieving premium results in the current challenging trading conditions whilst continually seeking to develop new business opportunities. There will be some exciting news in this area in the very near future.
