RBS Backs Entrepreneur with Government-Backed Scheme

The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) has recently provided BraveNewTalent.com with a funding package from the recently launched Enterprise Finance Guarantee (EFG) Scheme that allows for business expansion including a number of new staff.

BraveNewTalent.com is the brainchild of entrepreneur Lucian Tarnowski. Under the umbrella brand, Lucian has built up the innovative graduate recruitment site, BraveNewTalent.com which launched earlier this year. The recruitment site works in a similar way to social networking sites and it allows graduate job seekers to interact with employers of choice directly. The service is fully accessible within Facebook, Bebo and MySpace.

RBS provided support to help set up the company last year and Lucian spoke to his RBS Relationship Manager, Tom Butterworth recently to discuss options for additional working capital following a private investment round. RBS provided a 102k funding package from the Government-backed EFG Scheme. The scheme aims to provide necessary working capital or investment finance for profitable businesses to help them through the difficult economic climate. Under the EFG scheme the government will guarantee 75% of any loans made, with the bank covering the remaining 25%.

Lucian Tarnowski, CEO and Founder, BraveNewTalent.com, commented:
Its a very exciting time for BraveNewTalent.com and Im really pleased we have the backing of RBS to help accelerate the business both here in the UK and in India. The additional funding will allow us to employ more staff and will make a real difference to our overall working capital. Well be able to focus on growing the business, confident in the knowledge that we have the funding to support us.

Tom Butterworth, Relationship Manager at RBS, added:
RBS and NatWest recognised Lucian as one of the UKs top five up and coming entrepreneurs last year. He is a true business man with clear ambitions for Brave New Talent. The funding we have arranged through the EFG Scheme will help with the planned business growth and we look forward to seeing the business really take off.
