Antal International bucks trend
Antal International bucks trend by opening four new offices Professional and managerial recruiter, Antal International, has announced the opening of four new business units in Frankfurt, Munich and Nuremburg in Germany and Barcelona in Spain adding to the market coverage of its current offices in Frankfurt, Madrid and Barcelona. This comes on top of the three offices in Canada, India and Pakistan, which opened earlier in the year, and takes the companys global network to 62 business units across 29 countries. The Nuremburg office will be headed by Ralf Roehrle who joins Antal after more than twenty years at Siemens and will focus on appointments in the engineering, manufacturing and transportation sectors. The new unit in Frankfurt is a specialised Banking and Financial Services unit to complement the existing German business in Frankfurt and is headed by ING and GE veteran, Tariq Amirzada, whose team will concentrate on clients in the banking and leasing sectors, whilst the Munich office will handle general management appointments under the leadership of serial entrepreneur, Peter Timmer. In Spain IT expert Adam Kalis joins the Antal brand and brings a wealth of knowledge in the tech market and great insight into IT Technical skills and will focus on technical roles in the telecoms and IT sectors across the country from the Barcelona base. Its not hard to build a successful business when markets are booming, says Antal director, Doug Bugie, but what marks out the really serious players is the ability to make money and extend market share when times are tough. Thats exactly what were doing this year. Because weve invested so heavily in finance, marketing, training and IT infrastructure our people can hit the ground running wherever they are in the world and whatever market they are focused on. And by continually pushing out in this way we expect to be firmly positioned as one of the lead players in international recruitment when the recovery comes.Graeme Read, Antal's Group Managing Director welcomed the expansion of the firm's reach into additional disciplines and sectors and pointed to the recently published Antal Global Snapshot which shows that, globally, 44% of firms surveyed expected to hire in the next three months commenting that "there is a resilience in global markets and even within segments within our economies across the globe and we are expanding accordingly".
