New innovative recruitment platform launches
mypeoplebiz.com, the recruitment platform has launched with the aim of revolutionising the recruitment process for employers and candidates by harnessing the recruiting power of social networking.

The platform offers employers the chance to make significant savings over conventional recruitment channels, while gaining controlled access to 200 million candidates. At the same time, candidates and referrers have the chance to earn money through applications and referrals. Overall savings for the employers are in the region of 30% -50% while anyone can earn significant sums of money from their social network by simply referring exciting job opportunities to people they network with. For a 50,000 job the referrer bonus can be up to 3,500 with the successful candidate also receiving a sign on fee.

Mypeoplebiz.com is the creation of Frank Varela, founder of Varela & Partners, a high-end legal head hunting practice and Trevor Bish-jones, the former Chief Executive of Woolworths. Together they have more than 40 years experience of recruitment from both the client and supply side.

Trevor Bish-Jones said: mypeoplebiz is an exciting new approach to recruitment that we believe could revolutionise the industry. We believe we have been able to rewrite the business model for recruitment and then supercharge it by harnessing the power of the internet and social networking. Our new model offers to cut the costs for employers while making job hunting financially rewarding for individuals. We think our deep experience of the recruitment market from both the client and supply side means we have been able to create an eBay for the jobs market.

Frank Varela said: We are tapping into the talented pool of candidates that exists within social networks, and putting that alongside direct and agency sourced candidates so employers will get the best possible choice of candidates. At the same time, the mypeoplebiz technology strips out the current inefficiencies in how companies typically recruit. Some of the resultant savings have been redeployed to make available attractive bonuses to referrers and candidates. We believe this a unique and highly attractive model.
